Principled Representation

The Utah State Legislature needs principled representation for the people of a vibrant Utah, Utah’s future, and for Liberty. Cory Maloy was elected to the Utah House of Representatives in 2016.

As the Utah House Representative for District 52, Cory is a strong voice for reasonable and rational solutions. He uses his principles and integrity to guide his hand in creating policy. With each piece of legislation, Cory asks whether or not his vote represents you and your families.

Career

Cory has worked for more than 25 years as a public relations strategist. His experience includes collaboration with some of the best PR firms and corporations in the country. Today, he is the founder and principal of Maloy PR, located in Lehi, the heart of Silicon Slopes.

An Active Republican Leader

Cory is a dedicated Republican leader with five years of experience representing Utah District 6. He's known for uniting precinct officers and delegates to champion conservative causes, safeguarding the caucus system's relevance. He believes in the power of unity in politics.

Cory has served as a leader and officer in the Utah County Republican Party, handling various roles and contributing to the party's success. His background in business and communications makes him uniquely qualified to serve as a House Representative, fostering cooperation and progress within District 52 and across legislative bodies. He's respected as a builder and unifier.

Education


Cory attended Ricks College in Idaho for an associate's degree in business, followed by Brigham Young University for a Bachelor of Arts in Communications with a public relations focus. At BYU, he excelled as a reporter and editor at the Daily Universe, winning the Columbia Scholastic Press Association Gold Circle Award for news writing. Cory also worked at the student-run Bradley PR Agency, developed a communication program for a local trucking company, and contributed to publications like the Utah County Journal and a Provo School District education newsletter.

Faith and Family

Cory dedicated time to a full-time mission in Alaska Anchorage for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, where he shared teachings about Jesus Christ. This experience broadened his appreciation for diverse backgrounds and beliefs, solidifying his commitment to building friendships with everyone.

Now residing in Lehi, Utah, with his wife Linda and three children, Cory actively participates in various community roles. These include serving on the boards of the Hutchings Museum Institute, Utah Cultural Alliance, and The Point of the Mountain Chamber of Commerce. Additionally, he holds leadership positions within his Church and has been recognized for outstanding community service as an Eagle Scout by the Utah National Parks Council.
